Tasmanian Tassal Smoked Ocean Trout (100gm pack)

Like salmon, ocean trout is versatile in the kitchen and can be prepared using all possible techniques:

It can be served raw, sliced thin and dressed simply with extra virgin olive oil or soy and wasabi; poached and accompanied by fresh salsa, mayonnaise or cream sauces; grilled and served with a bitter leaf salad; or roasted and sprinkled with good balsamic vinegar.

Ocean trout is farmed, so it's available year-round. Some say it is best in Spring, when it still has a modest amount of winter fat in its flesh. Some now prefer ocean trout to salmon.
